William Bethell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Presents MARC with American Flag

On Saturday, February 16, 2012, the William Bethell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) presented the MARC with this gorgeous American Flag and stand. It is on display in the former Superior Courtroom at the museum. Since we opened we have imagined having a flag in the courtroom, this generous gesture makes that a reality. Many thanks to these ladies and the work they do remembering their ancestors and the contributions to our county and country’s independence they made.

If you are interested in researching your own genealogy or making application to the DAR to become a member, call us at 336-634-4949 for assistance.

(L to R) DAR members Debby Glascock, Mary Barrett, Susan Bullock (Current Chapter President), Jane Conder and Kim Proctor, Executive Director at the MARC
